Cut-Out concentrates the idea of home into a precisely defined spatial fragment. A section of a domestic interior is physically cut into a geometric volume, at whose boundaries the furniture, carpet, books, and individual objects abruptly end. From a continuous reality, only a single isolated fragment remains. Here, home is understood not merely as a specific place, but as a space of personal memory, safety, rest, and imagination. Books devoted to distant countries simultaneously direct attention outward, toward the world beyond its boundaries. Paradoxically, the enclosed space of home thus becomes a place from which its physical limits can be crossed through imagination. The installation is based on the principle of extracting a fragment of reality and relocating it into a new context. The very act of cutting it out transforms an ordinary situation into an autonomous object, allowing something that would normally remain an inconspicuous part of everyday life to be perceived as a whole.
