The object is based on the idea of technical infrastructure as a living organism. Utility lines, cables, and pipes that normally remain hidden inside buildings become independent here, growing beyond their designated space and beginning to behave according to the original logic of untamed nature. What would normally exist merely to serve the building transforms into an uncontrolled growth that branches out and takes over the surrounding space. The technical system thus assumes the characteristics of organic proliferation, while the boundaries between architecture, organism, and landscape begin to dissolve. The object was created as part of the exhibition of the same name, Overgrowth, at the Museum of Art and Design Benešov. The exhibition explored the idea of a house as a materially transformed part of the surrounding landscape, and the possibility of restoring to this newly created form of landscape the ability to grow spontaneously.
