Threshold

A bed is one of the most intimate spaces of human life. It is a place of rest, dreams, illness, birth, and dying. Every day, we lie down in it with the certainty that we will rise again in the morning. The earth gradually filling its inner space disrupts this sense of certainty. The bed slowly transforms into a landscape to which we will one day return. Every life begins and ends by crossing a threshold whose true nature we cannot know. The bed thus becomes not a symbol of death, but a threshold between two worlds—one that we cross every day, yet can never fully comprehend.
