The Last Piece
Installation, 100 x 100 x 30 cm
“Do we construct reality from singular parts, or do we uncover it piece by piece? Is it possible that we rather deconstruct it to get to its core and subsequently use its parts to piece together a new reality? A reality we will want to understand because we have created it to our image?” A series of improbable events on the edge of illusion. Geometric shapes of cuboids that practically do not appear in nature followed up by a semblance that they were created in virtual space. A documentary record of a classical sculpting process of clay modelling and a visual record of moving matter that is expected to keep its shape or undergo an unexpected transformation. The last piece of the puzzle of assembling knowledge of material reality and in the fixation of a moment of action that is happening right now or is supposed to continue.
