A happily morbid scene. To come upon a spring clearing in the midst of winter is a positive and joyful thing that can put a smile on the face. In contrast to that, the frozen and dead bush is made-up so that is looks like it is blooming and full of life, which, again, borders with the morbidity of embalming dead people.
